Normal aging causes the middle third of the face to fall down and in toward the mouth. This creates the deep lines from the nose to the corners of the lips, as well as hollow, dark circles under the eyes. Both problems can be addressed with midface elevation or a “cheek lift”. This procedure can be performed endoscopically behind the hairline or with hidden incisions around the lower eyelids, creating a subtle but very effective rejuvenation of this important area. This procedure is sometimes augmented with cheek implants or fat injections.
